This is a fanlisting for the Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 6 episode "Seeing Red." I personally have a love-hate relationship with the episode, though the "hate" is really just testament to how deeply the content cuts. It's painful to watch *because* it's so well done, so well written, so well acted. It's also powerful because of how ordinary the tragedies are -- not magic and demons this time, but attempted rape and a man with a gun. Tara's death would have been tragic regardless, but the fact that it was caused by a college-aged kid with a regular old human gun makes it that much more so.
But the episode also has some extremely warm and fuzzy moments, as well as quite a bit of humor -- just like every great Buffy episode. Willow & Tara's reconciliation, the Trio's various hijinks, Spike & Clem.. it's not all horror and heartbreak. =)
